RUIDOSO DOWNS, N.M. – The Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale is up 10 percent through the first two nights, Friday and Saturday, of the three-night offering with the yearlings averaging $45,657 per horse sold.
Saturday night’s per horse sold average was in a virtual dead heat with last year’s second night. This year’s average was $47,387 while last year’s second offering averaged $47,089 per horse sold. Last year, the second night had the highest average per horse sold of the entire sale.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, N.M. – The first of three nights of the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale got off to a rollicking start with the average per horse sold up more than 20 percent to $44,260 on Friday evening at the Ruidoso Downs’ sales pavilion.
That compares to $36,677 for last year’s first session.
