Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale Wraps Up With Overall Gains - RUIDOSO DOWNS, New Mexico (September 6, 2010) - The Ruidoso Select Sale counteracted a worldwide downturn in racehorse yearling prices by showing an overall 7.7-percent increase in average prices for the 3-day offering that concluded on Sunday evening.

Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale Off To Hot Start Friday Night - RUIDOSO DOWNS, New Mexico (September 4, 2010) – The first yearling in the sale ring on Friday night at the Ruidoso Select Yearling and Broodmare Sale sold for $340,000 and the positive trend continued throughout the first-night offering.

Piroplasma Testing Requirements

A Piroplasmosis Test is no longer a sale requirement for yearlings sold at any of the Ruidoso Horse Sale Company sales. NO horses (yearlings or broodmares) coming to the sale are required to have the proplasmosis test unless their point of origin is one of the 6 Texas counties under quarantine. Have your veterinarian check with the office of the state veterinarian of New Mexico to ensure that the animals have met all the current requirements and that the hauler possesses all the necessary documents to legally enter the state.
